In addition to providing health care and coverage for low-income people, Kaiser Permanente's community investments include grants, sponsorships, and volunteerism. The Kaiser Permanente Fresno Community Benefit program service area includes the eastern part of Fresno County, most of Madera County, the northeast part of Kings County, and just into the northwest of Tulare County.
Grants
Our grantmaking supports:
- Programs that increase the number of low-income people enrolled in and maintaining health insurance coverage, and that increase access to health care services for low-income and uninsured individuals
- Initiatives that decrease calorie consumption, increase consumption of fresh fruits and vegetables, and increase physical activity in community and institutional settings
- Programs that improve the management of diabetes, asthma, and cardiovascular disease
- Programs that increase academic and job-skills readiness with an emphasis on serving at-risk youth, and programs that support development of workforce capacity, job skills, and employment opportunities for adults

Sponsorships
Sponsorship applications for activities, such as health fairs, health education forums, conferences, and symposiums, will be accepted on an ongoing basis from Jan. 1 through Sept. 30. All sponsorships requests must be submitted electronically a minimum of 45 days prior to the event.
To apply for a sponsorship
Access the online application. As part of the sponsorship application process, you will need to download and complete the Fresno Budget Template and Nondiscrimination Statement and submit through the online application.
