Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States grantmaking provides support to local nonprofit organizations whose mission and focus areas align with our own mission to improve the health of the communities we serve. We are specifically focused on two key areas: access to care/safety net partnerships and Healthy Eating/Active Living programs. We will hold two competitive grant cycles this year – one in Spring and one in Summer 2010.
The Kaiser Permanente grants process begins with organizations submitting a Letter of Intent (LOI). Any qualified nonprofit is welcome to submit an LOI that aligns with our focus areas.
Effective March 15, 2010, through April 2, 2010 we will be accepting LOIs for our Spring competitive grants round. Please review the attached LOI guidelines to see our focus areas and submission requirements.
All LOIs will go through an initial review process, during which a select number of organizations will be asked to submit a full proposal via a Request for Proposal (RFP). Kaiser Permanente will notify all organizations by April 12, 2010 if they are invited to submit a full proposal.
Please email any questions regarding Kaiser Permanente of the Mid-Atlantic States’ Grants, to MAS-GRANTS@kp.org.
We believe our responsibility to create healthier, stronger communities extends beyond our medical center doors. Through targeted corporate contributions, including sponsorships to local non-profit charitable organizations, we help improve the quality of life and health of people in the communities we serve.
